Pink Sunset is made with modeling paste and then painted with acrylics over the top.  I then poured resin over the entire canvas giving it a really glasslike, glossy finish.  My inspiration for this painting is the tropical sunsets, there isn’t anything quite like them. You know when you are sitting on a sandy beach in a warm climate, and there’s this overwhelming glow, right before the sun sets on the water?  The colors are so intense that you can hardly look at them.  It’s that moment that inspired this piece.  I miss those sunsets, I miss traveling abroad.  I can close my eyes and hear the waves splashing upon the shore and I can enjoy this piece as a reminder of more sunsets to come.
